Supplies Needed For 4th Of July Pool Noodle Wreath
I grabbed a pool noodle, three garlands, and popsicle sticks at the Dollar Tree for a grand total of $5! The rest of the supplies I already had on hand in my craft stash.
- Pool noodle
- 3-4 Small festive garlands
- Duct tape
- Popsicle sticks
- Acrylic paint
- Paintbrush
- Cardboard
- Scissors

Creating Pool Noodle Wreath Form
Step 1: Tape Ends Of Pool Noodle Together To Form A Circle
Start by making a circle with the pool noodle. Tape the ends of the noodle together to form a circle. I had that red duct tape at home, but any color would work.

Step 2: Wrap Garland Around Pool Noodle Wreath
Working one at a time, wrap each garland around the wreath form. I did not glue the garlands to the wreath. I just tucked the ends in when I came to them, but you may want to add a small amount of hot glue to secure them.
Continue wrapping until the wreath is completely covered. About 3-4 small garlands should be enough to cover the wreath form.

I just used three and spaced them out accordingly. I think the coverage is perfect!

Creating Mini American Flag
Step 1: Create Flag Base
Create a base to glue to by cutting a popsicle stick in half and laying each piece parallel to each other.

Step 2: Glue Flag Base Together
Then, glue 7 sticks across (perpendicular) to form the flag shape.

Step 3: Paint Popsicle Sticks
Start by painting a blue square in the corner. I just eyeballed the size.

Then paint your stripes.

Finally, use the opposite end of your brush (the end without bristles) to add 13 dots to the blue portion. Then let that dry.

Creating Number 4
Step 1: Cut A Number 4 From Paper & Cardboard
Now we are going to make the “4” for the center. I cut a number four from paper, then used that as a template to cut more number fours from various old boxes.
NOTE: You can cut out as many numbers fours as you like, depending on the thickness you are going for. I decided to cut out 4 number fours.

Step 2: Glue Number 4s Together
I stacked all four layers, glued them together for a sturdy cardboard cutout. It is almost like you are making your own chipboard letter. The cardboard boxes make the four more stable and able to stand up in the center of your wreath.

Assembling Pool Noodle Wreath
Step 1: Glue Number 4 & Mini American Flag To Wreath
Glue number four and the mini American flag to the wreath.
Once your number 4 and mini American flag have been glued to the wreath, you are ready to display it!

Now all of my guests can be welcomed by this wreath celebrating America this holiday season.

Y’all come on by our house anytime and party like the Fourth of July! We will be!

How did you secure everything once it on the wreath? Like the flag and did you just wrap it and if so how did you get to stay? Love it.
Just a dab of hot glue should work fine Angel.
